Anna Kempe book is about a woman from Finland, who worked as a teacher and missionary in India for over a hundred years ago. At that time, Finland was part of Russia, and she set off on an exciting inter-rail trip that began with a training session in London. She was active in India for 40 years before she returned to Finland in connection with that country's independence. The period 1947-1950 was the troubled times in the border region, where she was staying, in the Himalayas, northern India, an area between Nepal and Bhutan in the north bordering received the Region of China also known as Tibet.
